* How to use it for detangling – step by step:

1. Start with clean and damp fur
Always use the brush after bathing – preferably together with a good conditioner or detangling spray (e.g. leave-in detangler).

2. Part the fur
Work in layers – start at the bottom and work your way up. Small sections provide control and gentleness.

3. Keep your skin firm
Use one hand to hold the coat lightly taut so you don't pull or tug while brushing.

4. Use short, light movements
Don't push! Brush with small, controlled strokes. When you hit a tangle, brush around it and gently work your way in.

5. Use a comb to check
After each section – test with the steel comb. Does it slide through easily? Then the area is tangle-free!

* Tip: For larger or compact tangles, use a mat splitter first, and then go over with the Goodbye Tangles brush.

* Blow-drying and stretching before cutting

Goodbye Tangles is also fantastic for stretching and straightening the coat during blow-drying – which is essential for a professional result before cutting or styling.

Here's how to do it:

1. Dry the fur to about 60%
Use a towel or blow dryer without a brush. Do not brush when the coat is dripping wet.

2. Use a blow dryer and straightener at the same time
Brush in the same direction as the blow dryer is blowing. This “straightens” the hairs and places the fur in the correct direction of growth.

3. Stretch the hairs out with light resistance
Provides a smooth, fluffy and cuttable result – perfect for teddy bears, race cuts and clean lines.
